AVADirect custom computer’s are unlike any other you will purchase in your lifetime. A great deal of time, energy, and effort are put into each system to create a custom experience, with our custom computers. Our performance configurations are a perfectly prime example of what we are capable of providing. This particular end-user went straight to the point with his gaming directive. A majority of the investment has been placed into the CPU, which is a beast of a Sandy Bridge processor running at 3.3Ghz; very capable of chewing up any game you throw at it. The Z68 motherboard is an excellent way of keeping the system relevant with the times, and has numerous features the customers can take advantage of. The 8GB of RAM may be a little overkill for gaming, but will be useful for various photo/video editing applications and will hold true to the idea of keeping the system at good standing over many, many years. The GTS 450 graphics card gives me the impression that gaming will be moderate, and visual editing applications may be the primary purpose of this machine. Either way, the combination of components will give the end-user many different directions to go with this computer. The 1TB hard drive setup, in RAID 1 mirroring, will also keep his data safe; regardless of life line of the hard disks. Interestingly enough, the operating system chosen by the end-user is Ubunu Linux 64-bit. That tells me this system can be comfirmed as a “strictly business” and casual-use machine. My money is on programming, since open-source script writing is 10x easier in Linux kernals. Systems like this remind me of how much I love to be a part of a company that tailors to our customers, creating endless user-specific system combinations that bring meaning back to the term “Personal Computer”.
