Our custom performance systems are designed for those who want straight-forward performance, without the added bells and whistles of a gaming or workstation configuration. Reviewing the components selected for this configuration reveals the customer wanted a responsive system, with improved cooling and limited noise levels. The Z68 motherboard chosen was an excellent decision, most likely based upon future-proofing the machine or taking advantage of features like LucidLogix (Universal Switchable Graphics between integrated and dedicated Nvidia/AMD graphics cards) and Intel Smart Response Technology (the ability to use a dedicated SSD for cache improvement combined with a HDD for storage). The 2600K processor, 16GB of DDR3 1600Mhz RAM, and EVGA GTX 560 Ti also indicates that this machine will be used for casual graphic design, photo editing, or moderate gaming. The Crucial SSD will improve performance for said tasks significantly and will also reduce loading times by a huge amount. Either way this machine will serve a multitude of purposes and will also allow the end-user to expand beyond the initial configuration.
