The 2600 may be more than what is required, but I certainly understand the need to have more than you require, simply to prepare for what is ahead in the world of PC gaming. The corsair liquid cooler is most likely chosen to reduce CPU fan noise, and keep the CPU cool of course. 8Gb of RAM is more than plenty for gaming, and keeps the system ready for anything the individual plans to put it through. The Zotac GTX 550 Ti is a great start for a moderate gaming session; nothing state-of-the-art, but still able to provide an enjoyable experience. The 500GB Western Digital Green drive is also not the best for performance, but it does conserve energy and lengthens the life of the hard drive. Overall, the Antec Six Hundred case will improve airflow thus keeping all components cool and happy. In the end, this systems was put together very well for the price and will continue to perform its duties with problems.
